The introduction of BESE-elements resulted in a significant increase in life within the sludge area. There was a noticeable rise in the presence of shrimps, crabs, and worms, attracting a greater number of birds to the surroundings.
Regarding the Reef-paste bricks, they remained in place, demonstrating resilience even after enduring two storms shortly after deployment. The settlement process was swift, but interestingly, it was not as anticipated by coral larvae; rather, macroalgae took hold. Ongoing monitoring is in place to observe any changes in this dynamic.
